We be in the city!! Weekend Fun In the Sun For The Month Of April.


One year I said to myself that I would get to know the city that I lived in. I sought out FREE events that I was interested in. Chile yes F to the R-E-E!!!!! It wouldn't be me if I didn't share the wealth.

Here are some festivals that are in and around Dallas.

** While most of these events are free. I have listed some that aren't. **

Main St. Fort Worth Arts Festival:

For the love of art, live music, food trucks and a good time.

Garland Heritage Celebration:

Immerse yourself in the history of Garland with this free festival that includes live-music performances, historical lectures and exhibits, food trucks and a beer garden. April 22-23 in downtown Garland.

Earth Day Texas:

Learn more about Earth-friendly lifestyle choices at a fest featuring exhibits, a sustainable beer garden, and the Savor Dallas sustainable-food market.

Grand Prairie Main Street Fest:

Pat Green, Reckless Kelly, the Tejas Brothers and many other bands perform at this event, which has four entertainment stages, carnival rides and more.

Las Colinas Canal Fest:

Canal Fest in Irving, Texas, provides festivities on land and in the water as guests enjoy creative arts, food and entertainment by the lovely Mandalay Canal. Musicians and artists display their talent while vendors sell delicious food and other wares. For adventurers who want to do more than just take in the beauty of the canal, there are also various water rides and attractions.

Taco Libre:

Tacos from more than 20 local taquerias will be available in one place and served with a side of lucha libre wrestling and live music, plus there will be beer and tequila for sale.

This annual arts and crafts festival has been reimagined with new elements for 2017, including a university zone and Dallas galleries. Includes food and beverage booths, a music stage, work from artists from across the country and a children's activity area.
